The Ear and Sinus Institute is Reopening May 20!

After temporarily closing our office due to the recent pandemic, the Ear and Sinus Institute is pleased to announce that we are reopening on May 20! We appreciate your patience during this time as we transition to a reduced schedule to ensure your health and respect social distancing.

In-office appointments will resume on May 20, but we strongly encourage virtual appointments to those with compromised immune systems, chronic illnesses, and/or are over the age of 60. Telehealth services will remain a viable option for every patient who does not require in-person care. This system will allow us to be readily available to all patients while providing live care to those who need it most.

In-office steps we are taking to ensure safety:

As we reopen, we are taking the necessary steps to protect our patients, staff and community. We have taken recommendations from the CDC and the Texas Medical Board, including:

COVID-19 screening prior to your visit: Record your temperature at home twice daily for 3 days prior to your in-office appointment, procedure or surgery. Bring your temperature log with you to your appointment. Failure to bring this 3-day log will result in a rescheduled appointment. Please inform us if you have had any contact with COVID-19 patients, symptoms of cough, shortness of breath, fever >100.4, travel outside the area, etc. If you answer yes to any of these questions, we will need to reschedule your appointment.

Plus-one rule: Patients are encouraged to come alone to their appointment. Post-operative patients can bring ONE person with them during the first 2 weeks of aftercare. Family can FaceTime or call to be part of the consultation.

Curbside Check-inCall 817-332-4060 when you arrive at our office. We will check you in over the phone and let you know when you should come inside for your appointment. To help limit the number of people in the lobby, you will be escorted directly to a treatment room following check-in.

Wear a mask to your appointment: We will determine if it needs to be removed during treatment.

All of our staff will be wearing masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Our staff will call you after your visit to schedule any follow up or testing if necessary. We will practice thorough hand washing before and after each patient visit, and all frequently touched office surfaces will be disinfected several times a day.

All of these changes have been implemented for your protection. We are very excited to see our patients again, but we will always put your health and safety first!
