This procedure is used for patients with rhinitis and sinusitis that is due to a nasal airway obstruction.

A cartilage graft opens up passageways for improved airflow. Cartilage is taken from elsewhere in the body and reattached between the collapsed cartilage and the septum.

This operation can be performed at the same time as a septoplasty surgery to correct a deviated septum. It is done under general anesthesia and full recovery takes up to a few months.
